Just a short note to let you know what Dr Adept has been up to and what we are planning for the New Year.

First of all we would like to say Thank you for your custom in 2007, we hope this can continue for 2008. Anything you wish to discuss please give us a call or email us we are always happy to talk.

SERVERS
Hopefully we will be upgrading our servers once again in the New Year, we aim to have a 100% uptime and email services that handle spam efficiently and effectively.

CONTENT MANAGER
Our content manager is working well, we now have built in anti-spam features which blocks most spam from getting through to guestbook and form processing.

We have run various hacking tests on all parts of the CMS and so far it is holding up. This is an ongoing process and a lot of our time is spent ensuring our websites are hack proof.

NEWSLETTERS
Don't forget that this newsletter comes to you via MadRats and is available to all CMS subscribers. If you currently have a CMS licence with Dr Adept then you are able to create and send your very own newsletters.

NEW SERVICES
We have some great new services and features;

SEO
Search Engine Optimisation is going well for all the sites we have worked on so far, they have managed to get to page 1 in all counts.

SEO is a new service for Dr Adept and we aim to reach the top by continuing to investigate the search engine market and discover how they rank sites so we can get your sites to the top.

Spam Spam Spam
Yes spam is still filling our inboxes and it is still a big annoyance to us all.

This year has cost us more in time and expense than any other year previous.

We have recommended everyone purchase and install CA-Anti-spam as this is one of the best client spam filters we have used.

We now have an external mail server available for filtering spam prior to getting to your inbox.

If you are interested in external spam filtering we are offering a special Christmas discount at 20% on the £95 per year price.

Discounted cost will be £76 per year for all your email accounts, that's regardless of number of email accounts.

Using this service also means you will not be paying on a per email account basis.

Update Services
Dr Adept already carry out basic updates and behind the scenes management of all our websites as part of our hosting packages, keeping your websites running and looking good.

We are now offering full update packages for those who do not have the time or staff to carry out these updates themselves.

UPDATE PACKAGE 1 - Monthly updates --- £120.00 pa

UPDATE PACKAGE 2 - weekly updates --- £480.00 pa

UPDATE PACKAGE 3 - Daily updates --- £2000.00 pa

STANDARD HOSTING UPDATES: Individual updates will be charged at £25 per hour.

Packages can be tailored for the individual sites so contact us to discuss your requirements.
